The Biodiversity Strategy for Canterbury includes a range of Actions we need to take if we are to achieve the Strategy's Goals and Targets, and therefore give ourselves the best chance of preserving our natural heritage. These Actions are the main focus at this time.
Two key components to implementing the Strategy Actions are –
The Coordinator (yet to be appointed) will have an overview of efforts across the region, and will work with the Steering Group and others to coordinate implementation of Strategy Actions and to assist people to align their efforts with the Strategy's Goals.

Putting the Biodiversity Strategy into practice is going to take time, but if we have a shared vision and all our work and actions contribute to common goals, then we will make a significant difference to our biodiversity and environment. This means everyone playing a role and sharing in the responsibility – be part of it!
